8 date ideas in Milwaukee to try this fall

A picnic with a view

Nothing more screaming than putting on boots, hopping on a hay boardwalk and finding yourself in the middle of nowhere surrounded by the infamous orange squash we love so much this season. This beloved fall activity is a wonderful date idea because you will be spending time in nature, enjoying a conversation about the inevitable hay walk, and you can plan another date to carve the pumpkins that you choose. A cooking class for two

If you are a foodie, this one is for you. Attend a cooking class at Glorioso’s or the Milwaukee Public Market to learn how to cook a delicious meal! Some of the upcoming classes at Gloriosos include “Making Fresh Pasta: Carbonara”, “Cooking Classics: Pork Tenderloin Rollatini”, “Butternut Squash Risotto with Maple Polenta Cake” and more. At the Milwaukee Public Market, upcoming classes include “It’s Getting Chili” and “Coffee Toffee and Hot Cinnamon Peanut Brittle”.

An apple picking adventure

Strolling through an apple orchard is a wonderful place to meet someone. The secluded orchards provide the opportunity to walk and talk, and the occasional bite of a fresh apple or two as you pluck them from the trees. Not to mention, the cute baskets they give you and the bright red and green apples hanging all around are sure to make a cute photo to remember this little adventure. A trip to the farmers market

Head to a local farmers market this fall to shop for vegetables, bread, food, and maybe even a bunch of flowers (wink, wink!) With your person. Then you can even try to cook something with the food you collect. Make sure to go there soon as many farmers’ markets end in late October or early November.

Have a beer and some great food at a local beer garden this fall before the weather gets colder. It is a relaxing and relaxing date that is sure to bring good conversation and a lot of fun. Here are a few beer gardens that are still open for the season (but closing soon!). Weather too cold? Instead, try visiting one of these local breweries.

Watch a movie at a local theater

Grabbing a movie is perhaps the most classic date in dating history, so why not give it a local twist and watch a movie at a local cinema. The Oriental Theater just reopened in August, or Landmark’s Downer Theater is another option.
