Pick up irises for planting or learn more about bees, gardening and sustainable living.

• Interested in becoming a volunteer master gardener? Attend a free meeting from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Mondays at OSU Extension’s Franklin County office, 2548 Carmack Road. • Irises in a wide variety of colors, sizes and types will be available at prices below catalog or year-round store. Columbus Iris Society Plant Sale 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakland Park Nursery, 1156 Oakland Park Ave. Club members will be on hand to answer questions and give advice, and kids will receive a free plant, with no purchase necessary. • Explore eight gardens with native plants, certified wildlife habitats, and permaculture designs, including a community garden with a robotic seeding system implemented in partnership with Ohio State University, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday during the Simply Living 2021 Sustainable Living and Garden Tour. • Listen to live music; hear three speakers talk about honey bees, bumblebees and native bees; drink local tea or Land Grant beer; and participate in a honey and pollen tasting from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday at Collective of bees, 410 W.
