James Albert Bianco, 92, Indiana, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021 in Communities of Indian Haven.

Son of Thomas and Martha (Coury) Bianco, he was born July 28, 1928 in Center Township, PA.

James graduated in 1946 from Homer City High School. After graduating, James began a long working history that included the Pennsylvania Department of Highway, Ebasco, and Penelec. He was a US Army veteran who served in the Korean War with the 147 FAB Charlie Battery.

James was a member of the Order of the Knights of Columbus 1481 and of the Saint-Bernard parish of Clairvaux. He was a passionate historian of family and local history. James volunteered for the Indiana County Historical Genealogy Society. He enjoyed gardening, hunting and the outdoors. James loved to play darts and was a member of many darts leagues.

James is survived by his sons, Thomas Bianco, Imperial, PA and Vincent (Sandra) Bianco, Cary, NC; grandchildren, Alexis (Michael) Wunderlich, Morgantown, WV, Kristen Bianco and his fiancee, Guneet Sahota, Erie; Angela (Seth) Weir, Cary, NC, and Nicholas (Sarah) Bianco, Burlington, NC; great-grandchildren, Shawn Weir, Cary, NC, Isla Bianco, Burlington, NC and Austin Wunderlich, Morgantown, WV; and one brother, Thomas A. (Donna) Bianco, Jr., Providence, RI.

His parents predated James in death; beloved wife, Rose; sister, Thelma Lou Pergola; and beloved wife of Thomas, Diane Bianco.

Funeral arrangements are private and have been entrusted to the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home.

Interment in the Saint-Bernard cemetery will be private.
