From the first day of heat acclimatization practice on August 9 until the very last Lancaster-Lebanon League football team is still up later this fall, we’ll bring you three fun facts every day. LL League pig to keep you up to date with what’s going on around the league

1. It has been a frustrating few days for Annville-Cleona. First, the Dutch abandoned a 23-13 decision to compete with Elco on Friday, and when the final D3-3A power standings were released on Saturday, AC ended up on line 9 – as the first. team to participate in the playoffs. It was a disappointment. But no worries, as the Dutch’s postponed non-league game against Schuylkill Valley was still on the schedule, as the make-up clash of Week 11. So at least AC – and its seniors – would get one last game. Until… Schuylkill Valley qualifies for the Eastern Pennsylvania 3A Conference Playoff game against Nanticoke, then the Panthers called off their makeup meeting against the Dutch, leaving AC to scramble for an opponent so that he can play a maximum of 10 games in the regular season. At the last check, the Dutch were looking for a match this coming weekend.

2. A week 11 game has been added for sure: Garden Spot will be playing Elco on Thursday or Friday. Stay tuned for the official date. Garden Spot needed a game when its Section 3 makeup date against Donegal was canned because the Indians made the D3-4A bracket. Elco needed a game when his non-League 1 makeup date against Susquenita was sacked because the Blackhawks made the D3-2A support. So the Spartans and Raiders – who faced each other in August – will have an out-of-league party in Myerstown later this week. … Another non-league makeup game scheduled for Friday: Pequea Valley will host Biglerville.

3. Many important updates: Manheim Township QB Hayden johnson will need 89 passing yards for 2,000 when the Blue Streaks face seeded Central York in the D3-6A playoffs. … With his 151-yard passing effort in Warwick’s 41-0 Week 10 win over Conestoga Valley, the Warriors QB Jack Reed (2,072) have joined the club from 2,000 yards this season. … With his 86-yard passing effort against Donegal, Lancaster Catholic QB Will cranford (1,081) has eclipsed 1,000 passing yards this season. … Rainy conditions contributed to Columbia QB Robert footman pitch for just 142 yards in Crimson Tide’s victory over Pequea Valley. But he’s made two milestones with that effort: a 2,500-yard (2,548) season and Footman has up to 4,064 career aerial yards. … Octorara QB Weston Stoltzfus finished the regular season with 20 touchdown passes against zero interceptions. No choice. His efficiency rating of 149 passers is the best in the LL League. … Footman has a record 29 TD strikes; Johnson is next with 25 for Township. … Cedar Crest RB Aadyn richards, who put in a mammoth 317-yard, 5-TD effort in a Week 10 win over McCaskey, will be just short of a 1,000-yard season; he’s 949 yards in nine games, and the Falcons – at last check – weren’t going to add a 10th game. … Wilson RB Jadyn jones will need 52 rushing yards against York in the D3-6A playoffs for a 1,000-yard season. And he missed two games. … With his monster 200-yard night in Warwick’s victory over Conestoga Valley, Warriors’ RB Christian Royer (1075) have joined the 1,000-yard club this season. … Leader of the LL League Antoine Bourassa (1,863 yards) will need a 137-yard night in Cocalico’s D3-4A playoff game against Berks Catholic for a 2,000-yard season. … A pair of Section 4 full-backs put in great performances from Week 10 to 1,000-yard seasons: Octorara RB Mike Trainor racked up 265 yards in a win over North Lebanon and Annville-Cleona RB Rogan harter went 120 yards in a backhand against Elco, and Trainor and Harter are both sitting for 1,005 yards for their respective teams. … Harter, Trainor, Bourassa, Royer, Elco’s Luke Williams (1,200 and more) and that of Ephrata André Weidman (1,400 and over) have all hit the 1,000 rushing yard mark so far this fall. Next closest after Jones at Wilson to join the club? Elco QB Cole thomas (828) will need 172 yards from goalies against Garden Spot to reach the milestone of the century. … Canton of Manheim WR Anthony Ivey needs a catch against Central York for 50 receptions this season. … Warwick WR Cooper Eckert needs 18 receiving yards against Gettysburg in the D3-5A playoffs for a 1,000-yard receiving season for the Warriors. He leads the league with 62 seizures. … Only three LL League receivers have over 700 receiving yards this fall: Eckert (982), Columbia’s Dominique Diaz-Ellis (793) and Manheim Central Owen Sensenig (774). … Diaz-Ellis, a freshman, leads the league with 10 touchdown receptions.
