She is survived by her mother, Mary S, Guerrant and her brother, Joe A. (Kathy) York of Danville, KY and several cousins.
Mary was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Paris where she was a Session member and treasurer. From an early age, she loved animals. As an adult, she loved American Saddle Bred horses and enjoyed attending shows all year round. During her life she loved and cared for many dogs and cats.
She was also interested in genealogical research and collecting antiques. She has generously donated her time to several organizations, including the Hopewell Museum and the Bargain Box. She was an excellent cook, loved to travel and was a member of the Garden Club.
In her later years, she devoted much of her time to caring for her mother. She will be missed by many friends and family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, at the Perryville Christian Church. The jail service will follow at Bellevue Cemetery in Danville, Kentucky at 2:00 p.m. Visitations will be at the church from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until service time.
