Utah lacrosse to play two fall games on Sunday, October 3
SALT LAKE CITY – The fall ball is here as the University of Utah lacrosse team is set to hit the field against Colorado Mesa and Westminster College on Sunday, October 3 at Dumke Field on the Westminster campus.
The Utes start Sunday morning against the Colorado Mesa Mavericks at 11 a.m. MT, followed by a 1 p.m. MT start against the Griffins this afternoon. Participation in both games is free.
Sunday will be Utah’s only fall games with the Utes ushering in a new era with head coach Andrew McMinn take the helm on August 24, 2021. McMinn is expected to guide the Utes in their first season at ASUN in 2021-22 after the Utes became an Affiliate member earlier this year.

McMinn spent 10 seasons at the helm of Robert Morris Lacrosse with the Colonials, securing seven winning seasons, 54 All-NEC caps, six Conference Player of the Year awards and five All-Americans under his direction. He was also the all-time leader in coaching at RMU, twice winning the NEC Coach of the Year.
McMinn also added Sean doyle to the 2021-2022 Utah Lacrosse staff after Doyle spent the last two seasons as McMinn’s assistant at Robert Morris. He’s seen the Colonials win back-to-back seasons, beating four ASUN conference teams in 2021. Doyle was Robert Morris’s team captain under McMinn with over 60 games played.
