LG partners with college to study indoor gardening appliances

SEOUL, June 21 (Korea Bizwire)LG Electronics Inc. on Monday announced that it has signed an agreement with Yonam College in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province, to jointly study indoor gardening appliances.

The college was founded by LG Group, the parent company of the South Korean tech giant.

Under the terms of the agreement, the two parties will perform big data analysis on the growing conditions of various plants and create optimal growing environments in LG’s indoor gardening devices such as the LG tiiun and its version. smaller, the LG tiiun mini.

LG will work to find the optimal growing conditions for various plants by analyzing big data on lighting brightness and time, temperature, humidity, and watering frequency.

Moreover, it will also continue to develop and market new seed kits for users to cultivate various plants.

The LG tiiun, released last year, is an indoor gardening device designed to make it easier for users to grow various flowers, vegetables and herbs at home. Currently, 22 different types of seed kits are available in the market.
