Resident honored for his meals consciousness | Information
Ronald Forbes, a resident of Livermore and founding father of One Nation Dream Makers, was acknowledged this week by the Alameda County Oversight Board for his function in offering meals to households in want.
In a press launch, First District Supervisor David Haubert stated Forbes, who’s director of the nonprofit he based, delivered “1000’s of bins of fruit, greens, meats. and dairy merchandise to households in six weeks ”.
Haubert famous that Forbes, a veteran within the army, struggled with post-traumatic stress dysfunction, drug habit, homelessness and incarceration after leaving the army.
Since then, he has accomplished the Operation My House City neighborhood reintegration program for ex-offenders run by the Alameda County Sheriff’s Workplace and has participated in Operation Dignity, which supplies transitional housing for veterans.
