Food Truck Friday in downtown Flint for tacos, fries, hot dogs and more

FLINT, MI – Flint and surrounding communities are invited to support small businesses by attending the upcoming “Food Truck Friday” event.

The event will take place from 11 am to 3 pm and 5 pm to 8 pm on Friday, September 17 on Brush Street in downtown Flint in front of the “FLINT” sign.

Confirmed food trucks for the lunch portion include Just Fries, Something’s Different and Gordo and Flaco tacos and dinner includes Bella’s Concessions & Catering, Hot Dog Heaven and Yum Vittles.

“This is a great opportunity to showcase a unique small business industry in downtown Flint over a busy weekend,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “It is important that we support our local entrepreneurs and continue to develop the economic development of Flint. “

The Department of Economic Development planned this event in conjunction with the Flint Downtown Development Authority as a way to engage, support and promote local businesses in the city as part of the “Enjoy. Shop. Love. FLINT – Small Business Support Initiative.

The event also coincides with Small Business Week.

“Our aim is to always find ways to engage, support and promote local businesses,” said Khalfani Stephens, director of economic development, in a press release. “This event provides an overview of the wide variety of small businesses in Flint while bringing a popular food trend to the community.”

The Town of Flint will continue to collect information on food truck companies located in the town in an ongoing effort to support all small businesses.

Interested food truck vendors can complete the Food Truck Submission Form which will be added to future economic development communications.
