Wyomissing Synagogue to Host Drive-thru Jewish Food Festival on November 7

Reformed Congregation Oheb Sholom, 555 Warwick Drive, Wyomissing. will hold its drive-thru at the Jewish Food Festival on November 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The 21st annual festival features brisket, corned beef sandwiches, lox bagels and
cream cheese, matzoh dumpling soup and Oheb Sholom’s signature apple cake.

Pre-ordering is highly recommended on OhebSholom.org. The deadline for placing orders
is November 3. A limited number of items will be available for purchase on the day of the
event cash only.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 117 E. Arch St., Fleetwood, will host a concert by the Triumphant Quartet on October 31 at 3 p.m. Doors open at 2 a.m. Tickets cost $ 20 for adults and $ 10 for children under 12. Triumphant Quartet was voted Artist of the Year by Southern Gospel News in 2018, 2019 and 2020 with several top 40 songs and several hits reaching number 1. Kissinger Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, will have a chicken pie dinner and concert next Saturday. The meal will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with the Reinwalds and Lee Schappell concert to follow. The cost is $ 9 for adults; $ 5 for 5-10 year olds; Free for children younger than 5 years old. St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 5 Brooke Manor, Birdsboro, will be holding its fourth annual Trunk or Treat next Saturday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine. The event is free and will feature food, fun Halloween-themed music, trunks decorated with moon bounces, and candy. Everyone is welcome. The latest COVID protocols will be in effect. Masks must be worn indoors. If you or your organization would like to house a trunk, register with the church office at 610-582-8167. The safe will be set up at 3 p.m. on the day of the event.

Zion Evangelical Congregational Church, 57 N. Church Street, Mohnton, will be holding its first day of in-person gathering since October 2019 on Sunday at 9 a.m. Piercing Word will present the message through words and music. Lynn Campbell, Superintendent, will lead the service. A Gathering Day Offering, benefiting Myerstown Theological School, Zion Missions Committee and a new roof for the Sunday School Wing will be collected. Masks are optional.

Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, will hold a worship service on Sunday at 9 a.m. good. The Bible study for adults will take place at 10 a.m. in the living room.

The Lutheran Reformation Church, 3670 Perkiomen Ave., Exeter Township, will hold in-person worship on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Masks are mandatory. The 10:30 am service will be broadcast live on Facebook. The Reformation choir, under the direction of Dr Heidi Rochlin, director of music, will lead the worship service at 10:30 am. West Lawn United Methodist Church at 15 Woodside Avenue will be offering meals Wednesday evenings from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the West Lawn Community Center at 101 Woodside Avenue. Members of the community are welcome to attend. The cost is $ 9 per person and all proceeds go to local missions. West Lawn UMC also offers four in-person worship services on Sundays: 8 a.m. and 11 a.m., traditional worship services, and 9:30 and 11:10 a.m., contemporary worship services. Lutheran Church of Alsace, 2201 route de Kutztown, canton of Muhlenberg,
will organize a Trunk or Treat on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The rainy date is Monday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Everyone is invited to come in costume, vote for the best decorated car and receive special treats.

Trinity United Church of Christ, 2449 Cumberland Ave., Mount Penn, will hold in-person worship on Sunday at 10:15 am Parish Adult School will be held at 9:00 am. The service will also be registered and published on Facebook.

St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will be holding a Fallen Comrade Ceremony next Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of veterans who may be suffering emotional distress. The church is open for in-person worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m. Registration is required in advance on the church’s website, www.stjohnsboyertown.org, or by calling the office. The United Church of Christ St. Paul, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, will have two church services on Sunday, 9 am inside the sanctuary and online and 10:30 am outside. time permits. The Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, 170 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township, will meet Sunday at 9 a.m. for faith training for all ages and at 10:30 a.m. virtually and in person for worship. After the service, the Mexican Food Truck in Casteneda will be in the parking lot, with 20% of the profits going to the local church ministry.
